The LaChelle Academy &
Coalition for Teens Helping Teens, Inc 501 (c) (3)
Teens Helping Teens, Incorporated is a nonprofit organization that has put teen development at the core of it’s purpose. Realizing that so many teens have the potential to accomplish so much, we have focused our efforts on motivating and boosting the personal drive of our youth.
Two of the organization’s primary functions are called Polished Pearls (PP) which is dedicated to the development of teen girls, and GEMS, which is dedicated to the development of teen boys. For the past three years, the Polished Pearls (PP) team has focused on discovering the needs of teens, and determining a bridge point where we could assist the teens in making the significant leap from just being a student, to excelling as an individual and leader. We developed interactive workshops and utilized the assistance of teens to organize and improve the sessions. Then, we proactively assimilated the feedback from participants and used it to further the progressive development of each seminar.
As we prepare for upcoming events, we anticipate increased participation of students, and additional support from the community. Requests and feedback from schools and parents have inspired our development team to look for more innovative ways to educate our youth.
Previous seminars have afforded us with a number of networking opportunities and introduced us to brilliant teen minds. We now look forward to cultivating those ideas and networks, and striding forward with a renewed energy that backs a vision of mind stimulation, opportunity expansion, and support for our youth and ultimately our communities.
Our Focus

The diverse group of participants range in ages from 10 to 18, and vary in skill levels and needs.
MISSION
Our mission is to help teens recognize their inner strengths and develop a heightened sense of self-awareness such that they embrace education with an inspired will to contribute and lead in their communities.
PURPOSE
Our purpose is to utilize group workshops to develop teens in the areas of leadership, communication, etiquette, self preservation, education, and integrity. We then provide them with opportunities to lead and mentor other teens such that they choose to set and achieve goals, while avoiding behaviors that hinder success.
VISION
All young people will be self-driven and thriving with confidence such that our communities and schools remain rich with positive individuals that willingly strive for betterment.
